The Barakat brother 20/20 cricket competition in West Demerara continued recently with fifth round matches in region three. Zeeburg beat Vergenoegen by 103 runs in a match reduces to 15 overs – due to late arrival of the team Vergenoegen team which played with only eight players.
Zeeburg Innings 186-3 in 15 overs with Joel Ramsahai making 55 not out. Mandolall Doodnarine (43), Ganesh Narine (29) and Yugnauth Dhanpaul (29) supported with the bat as Michael Goberdhan took 2-20.
Vergenoegen fell for 83 in 11.5 overs with Goberdhan making 30. Devon Alleyne took 3-10 and Timur Mohamed 2-10.
