C and D divisions are the National Community Policing Group ten over tapeball cricket and domino champions following the conclusion of both competitions on Sunday last at the Lusignan Community Centre, East Coast Demerara.
Officers and other ranks of the Guyana Police Force pose with the team representatives and their silverware won at the National CPG domino and cricket competitions.
In the cricket final, D division batted first and posted 44 off their 10 overs with D. Balram making 10, while Deo Gopaul took 2-9 for C division who raced to 48-5 off 8.2 overs.
D. Samaroo led the run chase with an unbeaten 25 and was named man-of-the-match award for his knock. Balram returned with the ball to take 3-7 from 2 overs but it could not save his side from losing.
In the domino final, D division amassed 77 games five more than first runner up B division with C division bringing up the rear on 68.
Mohanlall led the winners with the maximum 18 games. Ashwant Paltoo and N. Persaud marked 15 each for C division. Khain Singh shared the only double love in the competition.
The competitions received corporate support form West Indian Sports Complex, Medrick Shortt and Cedric Williams of Meten-Meer-Zorg, West Coast Demerara.
