Ground Structures Engineering Consultants Inc. (GSECI) is the latest corporate entity to partner the Kashif and Shanghai Organisation for the 19th edition of the tournament.
Yesterday at their 212 D’ Andrade Street Newton Office, Principal Charles P. Ceres formalised the partnership when he presented the fourth place prize of $125,000 and trophy to K&S Director Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major.
Ceres in brief remarks said he has been a friend of Aubrey and Greg (Kashif Muhammad) for many years now and has always been impressed with the manner in which they conduct the tournament.
“And I am more than pleased to contribute towards the continued success of this tournament by presenting the fourth place cash prize and trophy. This is just my way of giving back towards the development of youths in my country.”
Ceres, who is a sports fanatic, said he played basketball with a number of past Linden greats the likes of James and Mike Brusche and Steven Carryl.
This is not the first time Ceres has tangibly contributed to sports; he has sponsored table tennis, basketball and hockey at the local and national levels.
