Teams collide tonight in Grand Finale
The champions of the I Movement, Bartica Football Association Super 8 tournament being staged at the Bartica Community Centre ground, will be decided tonight.
Mighty Rulers will collide with Platinum Gulley Side Warriors in tonight’s final after the two sides recorded victories in the semi-finals played Wednesday.
An exciting game is anticipated as the two sides battle for the championship trophy and $500,000 winner’s purse, sponsored by Freddy and Raffee Butchery.
In Wednesday’s semis, Platinum Gulley Side Warriors defeated Unknown Warriors in one semi-final 2-0. Anthony Abrams in the 30th minute and Leon Canterbury (70) scored for the winners.
The other semi-final clash resulted in Mighty Rulers needling Klassic Super Stars compliments of an Andrew Murray 37th minute strike.
Kick off is 6:30pm with the third place playoff between Unknown Warriors and Klassic Super Stars to be followed by the final.
