Dear Editor,
Allow me to highlight a rundown sanitary condition which exists at the Ketley Primary School in Charlestown.
My grandson came home during the lunch break (he would normally take his lunch at school). He headed straight for the washroom, and when I enquired as to why he had to come home to relieve himself, I got an unbelievable answer from him.
I was shocked when he told me that none of the four boys’ toilets is functioning. Some of the boys are forced to use the girls’ toilets. When I enquired from a teacher, I was told that the Ministry of Education has been aware of the problem a long time ago and has done nothing to rectify the problem.
Mr. Editor, could you imagine a school of 350 boys without a single working toilet? I have read a recent situation whereby the AFC had to come to the rescue of those children, even though the Ministry of Education was against such a move.
I would like to see the AFC once again coming to the rescue of the boys of the Ketley Primary School as early as possible, since everyone else seems incapable of remedying the situation, or they just don’t care about the health of those children.
