Police still seeking Frankie Ross – acting Commissioner
While some may think the police are not doing anything about the wanted bulletin issued for Frankie Ross in connection with the Regent Street arms and ammunition find, the force is contesting that this is not so.
In an invited comment on the issue, acting Police Commissioner Henry Greene said the force is still conducting investigations and working on all possible leads to locate Ross.
According to Greene, the police will not close the investigations until they have detained Ross. “We do not have to continue publishing the wanted bulletin daily to show that we are doing work. We are still looking for him, and we need him to clear his name,” Commissioner Greene said.
On September 26 last, the Guyana Police Force issued wanted bulletins for Frankie Ross, Joseph Aboud and Clayton Hutson. According to the police, the men were wanted in connection with the illegal importation of firearms and ammunition. To date, Hutson is still made to report to the Criminal Investigations Department.
Clayton Hutson and Joseph Aboud made themselves available to the police, and were released after their respective lawyers filed habeas corpus writs.
Meanwhile, Frankie Ross, a press release had stated, is of mixed ancestry, is 23 years old, is slim in stature, fair in complexion, and is five feet four inches tall.
