The Most Valuable Player of the 19th Kashif and Shanghai (K&S) knock-out Football Extravaganza will ride away with one brand new JH 125 Motor Bike compliments of R&F Mining Company.
At a simple handing ceremony held at the Jailing Company where the machine was purchased, representative of R&F Mining Company Candaycia Thompson disclosed her company’s pleasure in being associated with the K&S Organisation.
“We are always happy to contribute to sports and are elated to make this motor bike possible as reward for the MVP of this prestigious competition.”
Kashif Muhammad offered his organisation’s gratitude to Thompson for their contribution which would serve to further lift the standard of competitiveness in the race for the MVP prize.
Some sixteen clubs including Trinidad and Tobago’s K Brans Sports and Culture Club will battle for the top prize of one million dollars, the final set for January 1, 2009 at the National Stadium, Providence.
The official opening ceremony is set for December 14 at the Mackenzie Sports Club ground while the competition in earnest begins three days later at the Plaisance Community Centre ground, East Coast Demerara.
The fixtures will be drawn next Saturday (November 29) when the team briefing will also take place. Alpha ‘The Hammer’ United are the defending champions.
