The function was hosted by the High Commission of India, and featured performances by the African Cultural and Development Association, the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha, the Guyana Police Force Band, the Indian Cultural Centre, the Indian Arrival Committee, and Kenrick Cheeks and Group.
Some 500 Guyanese have studied in Indian since the ITEC programme was started between Guyana and India.
