The Guyana Police Force is seeking the help of the public to identify an unidentified woman of East Indian descent whose body was found floating in the Berbice River in the Palmyra area at about 18:45hrs yesterday
The deceased is believed to be in her mid-thirties, has black hair, is of slim build, brown complexion, about 5’6″ in height and was clad in a blue jersey and blue pants. The body is currently at the New Amsterdam Hospital mortuary.
The police is requesting anyone who has information that may lead to the identification of the body is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 225-2227, 333-2151 to 4, 333-2191, 911 or the nearest police station.
Investigations are continuing.
