Good Success defeat Noitgedacht by 140 runs, Jaguars game rained out

Good Success defeated Noitgedacht by 140 runs as the Busta 40 overs Cricket Competition continued in Wakenaam last Sunday. Played at Noitgedacht, Good Success took first strike and made 224 all out in 33 overs.

Wazeer Mohamed top scored with 64, while Abdool Salim contributed 31, Shamsudeen Mohamed 24, and Chandreka Ragnauth 22 as Zayaid Khan captured 3 – 37, Mitroy Soloman 3 – 21 and Rahaman Khan 2 – 21 for the home team, who in reply were skittled out for 84 in 24.1 overs.

Rahaman Khan (15) Mitroy Soloman (13) Mervin Retemiah (11) and Randolph Harry (11) were the only batsmen to reach double figures. Left arm Spinner Imran Khan bagged 5 – 18 and Chandreka Ragnauth 2 – 18 for Good Success.

Meanwhile the Sans Souci Jaguars and Good Success game, which was scheduled for Saturday, was completely rained out. Both teams collected two points from the fixture. The competition continues next weekend. (Zaheer Mohamed)
