The Guyana Badminton Association Junior Team returned to Guyana with 19 Medals; 4 Golds, 5 Silvers & 10 Bronze from the Suriname Junior International Badminton Championships which took place in the neighbouring country from November 13 to 17.
The counties participating were Suriname, Trinidad, Aruba and Guyana.
Narayan Ramdhani and Priyanna Ramdhani led the Team to victory in the Under-11 & 13 events with both gaining 6 Medals apiece.
Narayan won the triple crown in the Under-11, winning Golds in the Singles, Doubles with J. Del Prado (SUR) and Mixed Doubles with Priyanna Ramdhani.
In the Under-13 category, Narayan continued his good form by gaining Silvers in the Singles, Doubles with Andrew Peroune and Bronze in the Mixed Doubles with Priyanna Ramdhani.
Priyanna Ramdhani gained 1 Gold in the Under-11 Mixed Doubles with Narayan Ramdhani, Bronze in the Singles and Doubles with A. Baldew (SUR) and in the Under-13 she got Bronze in the Singles, Doubles with Kristio Singh (TRI) and Mixed Doubles with Narayan Ramdhani.
Andrew Peroune claimed a Silver with Narayan Ramdhani in the Under-13 Doubles and a Bronze in the Under-13 Singles.
Nicholas Ali got one Silver in the Under-17 Singles, Bronze in the Doubles with Avian Rodrigues and also a Bronze in the Under-19 Doubles with Avian Rodrigues.

Under-11 Boys Singles Finals:
Narayan Ramdhani defeated Mitch Nai Chung-Tong (SUR): 21-10, 21-13
Under-11 Girls Singles:
Third Place went to Priyanna Ramdhani
Under-11 Boys Doubles Finals:
Narayan Ramdhani (GUY)/J. Del Prado (SUR) defeated M. Nai Chung-Tong/Sean Brandon (SUR): 21-15,21-19
Under-11 Girls Doubles:
Third Place went to Priyanna Ramdhani (GUY)/A. Baldew (SUR)
Under-11 Mixed Doubles Finals:
Narayan Ramdhani/Priyanna Ramdhani defeated M. Nai Chung-Tong/S. Ramzan (SUR): 21-17, 25-23
Under-13 Boys Singles Finals:
Narayan Ramdhani lost to Sean Opti (SUR): 21-8, 21-11
Third Place went to Andrew Peroune
Under-13 Girls Singles:
Third Place went to Priyanna Ramdhani
Under-13 Boys Doubles Finals:
Narayan Ramdhani/Andrew Peroune lost to S. Opti/M. Nai Chung-Tong (SUR) 21-10, 21-19
Under-13 Girls Doubles:
Third Place went to Priyanna Ramdhani (GUY)/Kristo Singh (TRI)
Under-13 Mixed Doubles:
Third Place went to Narayan Ramdhani/Priyanna Ramdhani
Under-17 Boys Singles:
Third Place went to Nicholas Ali
Under-17 Boys Doubles Finals:
Nicholas Ali/Avian Rodrigues (GUY) lost to I. Djabar/D. Darmohoetomo (SUR): 21-14, 21-12
Under-19 Boys Doubles:
Third Place went to Nicholas Ali/Avian Rodrigues
The GBA expressed pleasure with the performance of the Guyanese players who showed a vast improvement compared to last year performance at this International Tournament.
The GBA also thanked the sponsors who made it possible for the Teams participation, among them BK International, C&V Shipping, GuyOil, National Sports Commission, Conrad Plummer and Alvin Seaforth.
