Dear Editor,
I was traumatized when I read in the media that President Bharrat Jagdeo endorsed the Presidential Candidate in the free world, when in his own home ground over which he rules, he condones the blatant and cruel torture of his citizens, stays silent as a senior member of the judiciary is spitefully penalised and made to beg her bread, literally, when the livelihood of the rural poor is bulldozed by agents of the administration and murder of citizens of his own country continue unabated as his administration feigns ignorance.
This endorsement by Jagdeo is hypocritical and can only be lauded by the intellectually disabled. He must free and ensure fairness to his own citizens first. Then and only then can he hail freedom and democracy in the free world.
