The Norman Singh Turf Club has had more than its fair share of excitement after organizing horse race meets that provided top class entertainment for Turfites.
Once again, organizers have planned another action packed day of horseracing slated for the #6 Village West Coast Berbice on Sunday December 14. Over five million dollars in cash and prizes will be at stake with the feature attraction being the ‘C’ class race.
This race will be contested for the Banks Premium Beer Cup and the winner of this event will also cart off a whooping 1st prize of $400,000. The second place finisher will ride off with $200,000 while the jockey coming in third will carry home $100,000.
The other race that has created a large amount of interest is The Norman Singh 3 year old classic. The first place finisher will cart off $350,000; the second place, $175,000 while third place finisher will receive $87,000.
The cream of the country’s horses will be on show along with some newly imported animals from Trinidad and Tobago.
Turfites can look forward to top class entertainment from horses like Sequin, Great Memories, Miss Republic, Face the Music, Sacrifice, Jumbo Boy and Miami Vice among others.
Another feature on the day’s programme is the grand raffle draw where patrons can contest for five 125cc Jailing motorcycles among other prizes. The first race gets underway at 13:00hrs sharp.
