Akeem Hamer, 18, was yesterday remanded to prison by Magistrate Nyasha Williams- Hatmin for stealing a $80,000 cell phone from Nicola DeMac on November 15 stole. He pleaded not guilty.
According to Police Prosecutor Denise Griffith bail should be denied since the phone was never recovered and that if bail is granted the accused may commit similar offences.
Bail was denied and the accused is expected to make his second court appearance on November 30.
Also appearing before the said Magistrate was Seon Clarke of Agricola who it is alleged uttered forged documents to Iesha Parris.
The documents purported to show that he had $3.75M for the purchasing fuel. The offence was allegedly committed on November 14. He pleaded not guilty.
According to the prosecution the accused is a taxi driver and he came to the business place and issued the forged document in an envelope. He was placed on $150,000 bail and is expected to return to court on January 7.
