A Linden resident narrowly escaped being shot when he confronted a suspicious man in his yard early yesterday morning.
The intruder discharged three rounds at the resident when confronted at about 03:35 hours. The man then made good his escape.
Police in a press release stated that they are investigating the incident that occurred at Wismar Housing Scheme, Linden.
They added that a woman observed a man in her yard, acting in a suspicious manner and raised an alarm.
The woman’s husband responded and gave chase behind the man who discharged three rounds from a firearm at him. The woman’s husband was not injured.
