Fruta Skills Festival football tournament for B’ce this weekend

Berbicians will be treated to a football extravaganza when the Berbice Football Association (BFA), in conjunction with the Guyana Beverages Inc stage the Fruta Skills Football Festival Tournament at the Rosignol Community Centre Ground from November 15 – 29.

Representatives of the Guyana Beverages Inc will be present for the formal opening at the Rosignol Community Ground at 17:00hrs this Sunday, November 16, minutes before the first whistle at 19:00hrs at the same venue.

The second game will start at 21:00hrs. Clubs will contest for prizes in several other exciting matches scheduled for November 16, 22 and 23.  The final is scheduled for Saturday 29th at the same venue.

Some of the teams expected to participate are Cougars F C, Rosignol United, Real Union, New Amsterdam United and Mahaicony United among others. Involvement of the other senior teams in the Ancient County has laid the foundation for what is expected to be nine days of classic football action.

All matches will be played under floodlights, while over $1/4M in cash and prizes will be up for grabs.
