Dear Editor,
As I pen this letter, I am still overjoyed at the overwhelming victory of US President elect, Mr. Barrack Obama
I had never heard of him before, until the primary between himself and Mrs. Hilary Clinton; and when I heard him at his rallies, he reminded me of the qualities of Nelson Mandela and Dr Jagan – non-racial, care for the poor, sincere and open-minded.
He is a very charismatic person; he never attacked the character of his opponents during his campaign, although there were many nasty things said about him. He was always cool, calm and collected.
His road will be long and tortuous and his task will be arduous, but he has displayed courage, determination, commitment and the will to succeed.
What has endeared him, not only to me, but to the millions around the world, is his desire to unite the American people.
I was also tremendously impressed by his oratorical brilliance and intelligence. May God bless him and help him in all his endeavours
