Over sixty horses have been entered for the Ryan Crawford Memorial Turf Club final race meeting for 2008 on Sunday at its Alness Village Corentyne racetrack starting from 13:00hrs.
There is over $2,000,000 in prizes including trophies in the eight race card, which consists of four feature events with Ansa McAl sponsored C & Lower race over a distance of 1400 meters is the main attraction. This race carries a whopping $500,000 first prize along with trophy.
Horses entered include Isle Be True, Miss Republic, Delmur Gold; three American Bred horses in Anny’s Playmate, Irish Gel, Mr Wheely Wheel and others.
The E & F Class over 1600 meters is the other feature with trophy and $400,000 purse on offer. Horses taking part include Fire Power, Mattarazzi, Pinch The Cash, Face De Music, Miss Republic and Love You Dee.
In the G & H Class over 1200 meters with $275,000 in prize money at stake, horses contesting for the prize features Alphabet, Baby Boy, Vanessa, Brown Boy, Love You Dee, Sacrifice, The Gap and others.
The 2 years old event at 1200 meters will see the winner cashing in on $300,000 and those expected to battle for the purse are Pixie Fier, Sweet Romance, Its All Indian, Star Streak, Lightning Mc Queen, Pleasure Star and others.
Other races on the card will feature horses classified I & Lower over 1200 meters, J & K covering 1200 meters, L Class and L Class Div 2 over 1100 meters.
A well stocked bar compliments of Ansa McAl Company along with Music supplied by Rhythm Star International will aid the festivities.
