Barack Obama created history in the United States on Tuesday when he swept the polls to become the first African American to become the president of the United States.
And in Guyana, the Deens hosted a victory party at their Good Hope residence, East Coast Demerara.
The gathering included friends of the Deens, who themselves are American citizens who remigrated to Guyana.
The party took shape even before the results were announced, in fact, from the dawn of November 4, Elections day.
Here the Deens trip the light fancy at the victory lunch yesterday.
