Several teams recorded wins in last weekend’s results from the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association third and 1st division leagues being contested at Burnham Court. In the Kevin Worrell, Lens Craft 3rd division league; Courts Pacesetters defeated Dynas Ravens in double overtime 78-72. Scores at the end of the respective regulation periods; 51-51, 59-59 and 62-62, before the teams were separated down the stretch.
Pacesetters were led to their triumph by Tariq Cave with 20 points, Marlon Anderson 16 and Travis Williams 13, while for Ravens, Benium Norton poured in a game high 36 pts.
The second game saw Pepsi Sonics defeating Bounty Colts 50-46.
Keith Tute scored 14 points for Pepsi-Sonics, while for Bounty Colts, Dexter Walcott had 18.
In the first division league action; Courts Pacesetters turned back the challenge of Bounty Colts 67-52. For Pacesetters, Royston Siland netted 14 points and Kwesi Roberts 13, while for Bounty Colts, Desmond Chin and Gavin Beeram each scored 11 points.
Dynas Ravens beat Nets 81-65. Leading Ravens were Ryan Gullen 13 and Damian Liverpool 14 points. For Nets, Pelham Doris had a game high 21 points and Drumson McCually 20.
Competition continues on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 17:00 hrs with a double header each night at Burnham Court.
