Dear Editor,
The ongoing reform in the judicial system as outlined in the media is most welcome, particularly when easy accessibility is afforded to the Court system by way of the Legal – Aid Clinics in six administrative regions to date.
It is incumbent that all relevant agencies and organisations be supportive of this initiative in the interest of justice.
We, from the Guyana Justices of the Peace and Commissioners of Oaths to Affidavits Association will do our part at the grassroot level, whenever called upon, for instance, by helping to disseminate information to the masses.
We do not hesitate to congratulate all concerned, including the loan Agency and the Honourable Claudette Singh, Former Justice of Appeal, who has proved her mettle in the Legal arena, and is a fit and proper person to serve as Coordinator for this Reform process.
