Dear Editor,
I wish to praise the potential of the Guyana Threshold Country Plan /Implementation Project (GTCP/IP) that was formally launched on October 29 last at the International Conference Centre, Liliendaal, East Coast Demerara on account of it being a catalyst to improving the current fiscal performance of Guyana’s economy.
Mr. Editor, I am optimistic that if the GTCP/IP project can tactically strengthen semi-autonomous agencies such as the Guyana Revenue Authority to ensure that there is greater compliance with the country’s tax laws, it will lead to better fiscal performance whereby revenue collection is increased and fiscal deficit is decreased.
