Heaven Hill defeated Hell Hill 3-2 in a friendly football encounter to bring the curtains down on a visit by three coaches to Matthew’s Ridge in Region 1 last week where they conducted coaching stints with residents of the community.
On target for Heaven Hill were Anthony Dalgety, Terrance Ash and Orison Sealey, while Ruhul Scott and Victor Sanko responded for Hell Hill. They all received a football socks compliments of the sponsors.
The programme, sponsored by the USAID, UNICEF and Girl Guides, saw sessions in football, circle tennis, windball cricket and Healthy Lifestyles being conducted by Wayne Francios, Allister Munroe and Lavern Fraser-Thomas respectively, at the area’s Community Centre ground.
Some thirty (30) residents participated in the programme which saw both theoretical and practical sessions being conducted.
According to the Facilitators, the visit was a successful one where a number of talented footballers were identified at both the senior and junior levels and follow-up clinics were planned for the community.
