Andrew ‘Sixhead’ Lewis and Howard ‘Battersea Bomber’ Eastman will go after each other tonight at the National Stadium, Providence for the National Middleweight title of Guyana.
The pundits are asking several key questions to enable them to make informed choices. Who is the better man? What are the strong points of each boxer?
Will experience be the decisive factor? Who will win? These and many other questions pervade the minds of pundits who, unfortunately will have to wait for the sound of the bell tonight to have their questions answered.
We at Kaieteur Sports cannot provide the answers to those questions but we have solicited the views of three boxing buffs as well as provided some vital statistics to give our readers a better insight on where to cast their wagers.

Herman Harris: Boxing Promoter, trainer, matchmaker: This is going to be an interesting bout. I think though that Lewis may have made a terrible decision to fight as a middleweight.
Eastman is a more solid middleweight and will be the stronger of the two. I predict that Lewis will be very strong for the first half of the fight but after that it will be all Eastman.
Lewis is not the same fighter that had opposed James Page evident in the Dalton bout. I believe that notwithstanding the many blunders made by ‘Sixhead’ after the world title achievement he is still hungry and has a lot of fight in him. If the fight should come down to a crunch I would want to go for an Eastman victory. He has a lot going for him.
Keith Bazilio: Boxing Promoter, Manager: ‘Sixhead’ is very skillful while Eastman is a very strong and powerful puncher. I have seen both boxers in training and was thoroughly impressed by Eastman’s condition.
Lewis’ chances of pulling off a win lies in the strategy he employs. If he goes after Eastman in the early stages of the fight he stands a better chance of winning.
If Lewis fails to take out Eastman before the sixth round he risks losing in the latter stage. Eastman is a technically sound fighter and should not be underrated.
I am not a betting man but if were to take a bet I would place my money on Eastman because historically I have not seen a smaller fighter going into the domain of a bigger fighter and coming out victorious. Based on this logic I will have to go with an Eastman victory.
Deryck ‘Vine’ Ford: Boxing supporter for over two decades: Eastman all the way! He has power in both hands; is better conditioned; has had more international exposure; you name it! Added to that, Eastman is a full fledged middleweight while ‘Sixhead’ is a blown up middleweight.
Lewis had a brief international sojourn that earned him a world title while Eastman has been fighting in England. If you know the European fighters you will admit that they can be very tough.
Eastman has endured such challenges and is still around to tell the story. He is also mentally and physically tough. I have no doubt in my mind, Eastman will prevail!
