Dear Editor,
I wish to support Mr. Adrian Lutchman’s letter in SN dated October 8, 2008, titled “Garbage being dumped at back of Grove.”
Mr. Lutchman talked about the garbage that is being dumped and also being burnt by the NDC.
He further explained that he can hardly breathe much less his kids. This problem remains the same and seems to be getting intolerable since we are not only affected by the smoke emanating from the dump site, but also by a large influx of houseflies.
This situation is very unhealthy and I think it needs to be addressed as early as possible before it becomes similar to the famous Mandela dumpsite. This can cause many diseases such as cholera, typhoid fever, etc, which are detrimental to our health.
I am sure the NDC is fully aware of this problem and I am kindly asking if something can be done to remedy the situation as early as possible.
