DEAR EDITOR,
Residents of Golden Apple Road, Bachelor’s Adventure are disgusted at the present situation wherein we have been going without water for quite some time now and no one seems to care.
We have been suffering this discomfort for months/years now and would welcome any assistance given in alleviating this situation.
Our water lines are dried and cracked from the heat of the sun because there is no water running through them.
We are finding it very difficult to manage without running water to do our daily work; our kitchen gardens are suffering due to no water supply, especially at this time when we are told to “grow more food”.
Parents and school children, mothers with babies have to resort to fetching water from wherever it can be obtained just to have it.
We are at the stage when one bucket of water has to be shared among three or more persons. Imagine that!
Many calls have been made to GWI’s Head Office to complain about this problem but to date nothing has been done by the relevant authority.
The residents need to know what is causing this problem for so long and how much longer they will have to suffer for this basic necessity that has been cut off from them.
I hope this letter will bring a quick relief to the water problem at Golden Apple Road, Bachelor’s Adventure.
We are in need of help, very soon!
Concerned Resident
