The Unit amassed a total of 155 points to top 31 Special Forces’ 93 points and Engineers’ 69 points. The point–standing of the other units were not available up to press time yesterday.
One of the organisers of the event, which returned after a 10–year absence, told Kaieteur Sport that he is elated to have the event back despite some glitches.
The officer promised a bigger competition next year. The soldier did not give permission to publish his name but did so for the publication of his comments.
Meanwhile, Celvor Naraine was adjudged champion male athlete after winning the 1500m, 5000m and 400m races.
