Rock claims Silver for Guyana

The 3rd Commonwealth Youth Games has finished for Team Guyana, with boxer Clevon Rock making the team proud as he stood on the medal podium to collect a Silver Medal for his excellent showing in the Bantamweight category.
According to a brief report from the team’s management, they indicated that “…it was a wonderful sight to see the Golden Arrowhead being raised towards the ceiling of the venue.”
Several coaches from other countries congratulated the Guyanese and gave very positive comments on Rock’s style and abilities. Expectations are high for Rock in the future.
They team will enjoy some sight seeing activity today before the scheduled closing ceremony this afternoon.
Team Guyana will be back home on the morning of the 21st.
