Guyana’s Clevon Rock overcame Taylor Josh of Scotland lost to at least be assured of a silver medal at the Commonwealth Youth Games currently being staged in India.
Rock is down to challenge John Quigley of England for the gold medal today.
Rock along with members of the Guyanese boxing team had been presented with the ‘Pheta’ (Turban), which is a traditional Indian headwear. This represents the honour and prestige of a Prince and a true Maratha Warrior during the opening ceremony of the games.
By his performance he would have acquitted himself as a real warrior as he hunts for gold today.
