In reply, Banks reached 209-6 off the final ball of the innings, Donald Jaisingh smashing an unbeaten 46. Owen Grannum supported well with 43. Captain Monty Lynch himself led the bowling with 3-39. Friday’s match wrapped up the goodwill tour by the visiting Englishmen who will depart on Tuesday.
Lynch had earlier stated that this tour was more or less a pilot project to see how things work out as his aim is to invite school aged teams from England for Educational Tours to Guyana with cricket as the main sporting activity.
