Golden Stars behind a first half double from John Stewart romped to a 3-0 win over home team Plaisance when competition in the Mackeson/East Demerara Football association senior league continued on Thursday evening.
Stewart rocked the nets within a four minute period to lead his team to full points. He was on target in the 30th and 34th minute, Jason Clement driving the final nail in the 57th.
The other match up saw defending senior champions B.V. Triumph United being held to yet another draw, this time it was a nil all stalemate against former powerhouses, Victoria Kings. League action will continue tomorrow at the Buxton Playfield with two more matches.
Ann’s Grove will open action against Buxton United at 14:00hrs with the feature clash between Bakewell Buxton Stars and Mahaica.
Under-15 league
Play in the East Demerara Football Association under-15 league will continue this afternoon at the Plaisance ground with two matches.
The home team will open play against Ann’s Grove from 14:00hrs to be followed by the clash between B.V. Triumph United and Buxton United.
