Clayton Hutson, for whom a wanted bulletin was issued some two weeks ago, yesterday again presented himself to the Criminal Investigation Department Headquarter Eve Leary, in keeping with the condition under which he was released.
After a brief time with the police, Hutson was told to report again to the police on October 23.
The other man for whom a wanted bulletin was issued, 23-year-old Frankie Ross, is still at large and there is still no word on his whereabouts.
Two Friday’s ago the Guyana Police Force issued wanted bulletins for Hutson, Trinidadian Joseph Aboud, and Frankie Ross in connection with the smuggling of arms and ammunition.
Last week Tuesday, Aboud turned himself in and was subsequently released after lawyers who were watching his interest filed a habeas corpus in the High Court.
Hutson turned himself in on Wednesday and was released on $30,000 bail Saturday morning after his lawyers too filed a habeas corpus.
In the wake of the detention of Hutson and Aboud, their lawyers expressed concern over the publishing of the bulletins since no effort was made to locate these men before the bulletins were published.
One lawyer had told this newspaper following the issuing of the wanted bulletin that it was anticipated that the men would have been charged.
To date, only Hutson is being made to report to the police for no specific reason as Aboud was released without having been made to post bail.
