Tenelec Inc. under-15 two-innings cricket competition organised by the Berbice Cricket Board of Control began over the weekend.
Neil Pike’s 52 spearheaded RHTFM to 180-4 declared before Tain were routed for 60 with two of this year’s Berbice U-15 bowlers, leg-spinner Shawn Perreira (5-12) and off-spinner Lloydel Lewis (3-6) doing the damage.
Asked to follow on Tain were greeted with Perreira and Lewis in tandem, opening the bowling and the duo duly rolled them over for 20. Lewis had the remarkable figures of 7-8 from 6.3 overs to finish with match figures of 10-14 while Perreira took 3- 9 and match figures of 8-21.
Mibicuri Strikers’ Lakhram Paltu took 4-25 and 6-20 (match figures of 10 for 45) with is medium pace in a losing effort against Kildonan who took first innings points in their drawn match.
And Scotsburg United bowled out Little Hulk for 87 in their first innings and then rattled up 228-5 declared thanks to 59 from Ruel Leach and an unbeaten 53 from Nicholi Ceres.
Enjoying a first innings of 141 runs, Scotsburg opened their bowling in Little Hulk’s second innings with off spinners Trevor Thomas (4-3) and Naeeem Yacoob (4-16) to bowl out Little Hulk for 37.
