Two men, one of whom was armed with a gun, attacked an AINLIM delivery truck, robbing the driver and porter of $42,000 in cash and a cellular phone.
The men were at the time conducting business in the ‘C’ Field Sophia area.
Investigations revealed that at about 13:30 hours, salesman Victor Harris and porter Michael Forde were making deliveries to customers when they were held up by the two men.
The bandits then took away the cash and cell phone and escaped. A press release from police headquarters noted that it has been observed that persons are preying on innocent salesmen while they are plying their trade.
The police are advising salesmen to be alert and observant when going about their business.
