Employee of Kaieteur News, Manoj Narayan, has once again made Guyana proud with his outstanding performance at the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad.
The 24-year-old, who has completed his second academic year (2007/2008) at the law school, won four coveted awards at a graduation ceremony on Saturday last at the Hilton Trinidad and Tobago Conference Centre.
Manoj won the Chairman’s Prize for his exceptional performance in the area of Evidence and Forensic Medicine Law of Remedies, Civil Procedure and Practice II.
He also copped the Book Specialist Prize for being the second most outstanding second-year student; the Cameron and Shepherd Prize for best performance by a Guyanese in Civil Procedure and Practice I and Civil
Last year he was awarded for being the most outstanding first-year student, the Trinity Chamber Prize for being the best performer in Criminal Practice and Procedure, the Oswald J. Wilson Memorial Prize for best performance in Landlord and Tenant, and the Book Specialist Prize for being the first outstanding year-one student. Manoj, who will be celebrating his 25th birthday on October 18, is formerly of Adventure, on the Essequibo Coast, but now resides at 14 CC Eccles, East Bank Demerara.
According to his mother, Mrs Anjanie Narayan, Manoj has been a high-achiever throughout his life. She showed off a wall in her home which is dedicated to displaying his academic accomplishments.
She added that her only son had excelled when he undertook a Degree in Law at the University of Guyana, before furthering his studies at the Hugh Wooding Law School.
Manoj is the son of Anjanie and Bishraj Narayan of Bish Poultry Supplies at McDoom, East Bank Demerara, who, along with his sister, Sandrina, as well as the management and staff of Kaieteur, is extending congratulations to him.
