DEAR EDITOR,
Like I said before, and will say again, the PNCR is a dying breed and is now clutching at straws for its very own survival.
The PNCR’s visionless leader will, from now on, throw any and every thing against the wall in hope of some sticking for the attention of the international community.
Our dear beloved PNCR knows that the GDF is no match for any external threats to Guyana. As far as I am concerned, the GDF was put in place to keep the local masses in line to protect an illegal regime for 28 years.
Mr. Opposition Leader (Corbin), please spare us Guyanese the rhetoric, because Guyanese know that Mr. Chavez is not as dumb as you want us to think. Mr.Corbin, you must first ask yourself if the GDF is any match for Venezuela or Brazil’s armed forces, before you go sputtering your poison to Guyanese.
As far as I am concerned, the GDF should have been disbanded from the first day that the PPP/C took power in 1992.
Today, we are witnessing corruption that is taking place in the GDF with so many missing army weapons.
It’s like Guyanese don’t know that there are many who support your PNCR party are still in the GDF and GPF.
It’s like Guyanese don’t know that many PNCR supporters are still working in every major Government office, and are hell bent on putting a black eye on the Government.
All Guyanese should be appalled at the statement coming from the Opposition Leader on any arms buildup with regard to Venezuela. The PNCR and its statements are totally irrelevant.
