– Contribution to support expansion of Early Learning Centre in Linden
Digicel, recently presented $500,000 to the Good Shepherd Academy to assist in the institution’s expansion. With this contribution, more toddlers in Linden will be able to attend the centre which focuses on early childhood development.

Digicel Head of Marketing, Donovan White, during the presentation to the school’s Founder and Principal, Dott Yearwood, said Digicel is pleased to support an organisation that works towards developing the minds of young children.
He said they decided to support the project because they believe that it is important for children to begin learning at a very early age.
Prinicpal Yearwood expressed gratitude for the contribution which she indicated would greatly assist in the school’s expansion plans.
She said before they could only have accommodated a small group of children, emphasising that with Digicel’s assistance, that number will grow; making them better able to serve the community.
Dott Yearwood has more than thirty years administrative and teaching experience in Guyana and England, where she lived for many years. She returned to Guyana recently to establish the Good Shepherd Academy where she utilizes her teaching experience in the development of children between the ages of three months and 5 years.
