The Ministry of Human Services, on Friday evening, hosted a dinner for members of the media to sensitise journalists on trafficking in persons.
The event was facilitated by the International Migration Organisation (IOM).
At the event, media workers shared their views on the issues, and expressed their concerns very openly.
Present at the event were Ministers Priya Manickchand and Manzoor Nadir, along with employees of the Ministry of Labour and Human Services.
Minister Manickchand told the media that she hopes that her ministry can engage in another such activity, since the views of media workers are appreciated.
The event was aimed at informing and educating media workers about trafficking in persons.
