The victorious ‘H’ House athletes celebrate with Headmistress Friedel Isaacs (second right) and Deputy Headmistress Gem Rohlehr (second left) yesterday.
‘H’ House with 416 points were declared winners of the Track segment of the Queen’s College (QC) Inter-House Day of Sports which concluded yesterday at the school’s Playfield.
Their strong showing came as a result of the outstanding performance of Boys Open champion Carlwyn Collins, who swept aside all and sundry to clearly underline his growing status as one of the best talent locally.
Occupying the second spot was ‘B’ House on 331 followed by ‘L’ with 284, ‘K’ 245, ‘E’ 188, ‘F’ 178, ‘C’ 168, and ‘A’ and ‘G’ jointly on 153.
Another athlete that showed immense determination was Alysa Xavier, who competed in numerous events and contributed significantly to her House’s points.
Up to press time no individual results were available and Kaieteur Sport will make every effort to do so soon.
The Field events will be completed next week due to today being declared a rest day.
