De new ambassador waiting fuh Bharrat

Last night dem boys learn how people does treat de jail like if is a hotel. Dem go in and book a room and walk out when dem please. People always use to seh how people can get anything fuh a fee and dem now wondering how many people who get sentence actually deh in de jail.

A man get hold after he commit nuff robbery. He rob people in town, in Linden and everywhere. De next thing dem boys know is that he end up in front of a magistrate who send him straight to jail. De man smile and when dem put he in de cell at de court he tell a man how he coming out just now.

Well dem boys want fuh know if he get bail and when dem hear that no bail involve dem done decide that de man got strings and that he gun escape. Next thing dem now is that de police hold de same robber in West Ruimveldt. And to mek matters worse, he tell dem how he just walk out de jail.

When de prison officers tun up at Brickdam fuh collect de man, de police tell dem that he ain’t going nowhere because dem decide to investigate how de an get out. Dem claim that when a prisoner enter de jail is three gate he got to pass through. Then he name does get put in a book.

Dem boys seh that de prisoner had to be Mandrake de Magician fuh walk through all dem gate unless at each gate a prison officer open all of dem and when de man meet outside, flag down a taxi fuh he. But dem things does only happen when Bharrat ain’t deh. Bharrat walk out of Guyana and he ain’t come back.

Dem boys guh fuh send de police after he just like how dem send police after de prisoner. He lef Sam to act because de whole country full of actors. Is everybody acting from de Chancellor right down to some of de judges and de Chief Magistrate.

Somebody also acting as Foreign Affairs Minister and somebody acting at GPL fuh nuff people including de Deputy CEO, de Consumers Affairs people, de Human Resources people—dem boys fed up thinking bout all dem actors. Guyana is Hollywood and Bollywood in one.

De Americans had somebody acting as Ambassador, a nice lady who had name like Uncle Adam big daughter. She was really nice because she always got a smile and she talk to everybody.

But dem Americans tell dem boys that too much acting ain’t good, especially when people know that de actor ain’t got nothing to lose.

Dem send a real Ambassador who was to come one day but de man smart. He come one day earlier. If you see how de embassy people surprised. Some of dem who was sleeping in dem office wake up sudden and pretend that something been in dem eye.

But dem boys seh that de man waste he time to come too soon because Bharrat ain’t deh to accept he credentials.

Dem boys seh that de new Ambassador got patience because he know that sooner or later Bharrat gun approach de embassy fuh a visa and he gun mek Bharrat wait just like how he waiting.

Of course, dem boys want to know if de new ambassador and Jim Jones is family. Guyana still shuddering when dem hear bout Jim Jones and if de new ambassador is anything as hard then some Guyanese got problems.

One man only hear dem Ambassador coming and he surrender to de police. Another decide that he ain’t gun ever leave de country because of some thing dem have that does mek people get arrested.

Was de same when de ambassador was Bullen. He mek Gajraj get knock off and send to India. Poor Gajraj couldn’t even travel through England or de States to go to India. He was de fuss government official to travel overseas by backtrack.

Nuff government people lose visa and after a time people start fuh lef government wuk because once dem was wukking wid de government was no visa.

Of course, dem boys seh that this might still happen because blackout kicking tail and de ambassador walk straight into blackout.

He try to press he shirt and de current get cut off; he try to mek he coffee and there was no current; he pick up he cordless phone to call de security and de phone couldn’t wuk. De man get vex and according to dem boys, he waiting fuh Bharrat.
