Company to give away 3 BMX cycles
Local cyclists will continue their busy schedule of competitions this weekend when the Hand-in-Hand Group of Companies hosts their sixth annual 11-race programme at the National Park, organized by National coach Hassan Mohamed.
And yet again, Alonzo Greaves will be the man to beat as the defending champion of the feature school boys and novices 35-lap event.
Greaves has been in excellent form in the past two months and will again be going all out for victory on Saturday.
Mounting a serious challenge to Greaves though will be Tyrone Hamilton who, after being in the background for quite sometime has made a welcome return to the top with victory over Greaves in last weekend’s Victor Macedo Memorial Three-Stage race.
Hamilton had finished second to Greaves in the Laparkan Holdings 35-lapper on the 20th but turned the tables at last weekends race.
The duel is surely set to continue this Saturday and young Christopher Holder, who was the top junior at the Victor Macedo Memorial event, will be seeking to rebound this Saturday after suffering mechanical problems at the last Park race.
The action will be equally exciting among the BMX, veterans and uprights riders.
Race time is 09:00hrs.
The sponsors have promised to give three BMX cycles to three lucky young riders also at Saturday’s event.
