To this end, it was disclosed that Assistant Commissioner Leroy Brummel will take over from Trotz in Georgetown, while Assistant Commissioner Khrishna Lakeraj, who is currently serving on the West Demerara, will head the Berbice Division.
Woman Assistant Commissioner Paulette Morrison is heading to the West Demerara while senior Superintendent Balram Persaud who is at present the deputy to Conway in Berbice will head the police East Coast Demerara operations.
According to a senior administrative source, the heads of the two other police divisions G (Essequibo Coast and Islands) and E&F (Linden and Interior) will remain in place.
With the Police and Public Service Commissions now in place, it is expected that promotions for senior police ranks will be made in a hurry.
