Professor Aubrey Fitz Ronald Bishop made Honorary MemberAlfred King was returned as President of the Guyana Football Referees Council (GFRC) at their Annual General Meeting which was held on Sunday last at the Carifesta Sports Complex, Carifesta Avenue.
Taking up the post of General Secretary for the first time is the lone female on the executive Laurajan Obermuller who replaced Dion Inniss who will now function as the Assistant Secretary Treasurer.
Retaining his post as Senior Vice President was Lawrence ‘Sparrow’ Griffith. The other members of the executive are, Junior Vice President Collin Aaron and Treasurer Dwayne Lovell.
The senior members are Stanley Lancaster and Mr. Elson Khirattie with Ingram Johnson serving as the junior member.
Apart from the Elections, the GFRC made a number of amendments to their constitution which included having the Executive Committee serve for two years.
Professor Aubrey Fitz Ronald Bishop, a past Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) International Referee, and member of the GFRC was made an Honorary Member of the Association.
Thirty eight (38) members of the Council attended the meeting.
