Twenty-five-year-old Guyana wicketkeeper Derwin Christian continued his good form with the bat since his return from Canada by blasting his second consecutive half-century to lead hosts DCC to victory against Malteenoes on Sunday in their Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) Pepsi first division 40-overs cricket encounter.
The pugnacious right-hander, who has played 17 first-class matches since making his debut against Barbados three years ago, slammed a belligerent 75 and got support from in-form Guyana 20/20 player Chris Barnwell who made 46 as DCC reached 247-8 replying to Malteenoes’s 243-9 to remain unbeaten in the competition.
