Defending division one East Demerara Football Association champions BV Triumph United showed their mettle as true champions when they came from two goals down to draw with Determinators when rivalry in the Mackeson Senior League continued on the weekend.
Determinators were fast out of the blocks and by the 29th minute, they were leading BV 2-0. But the champions were very calm and played within themselves before gradually clawing their way back to take an equal share of the points.
Tremain Richmond in the 17th and Clovis Wilson in the 29th were responsible for putting Determinators ahead.
Responding for BV were Shaun Daniels in the 41st and the left footed forward, Delroy Deen in the 79th.
In the other match contested, Black Stallion and Golden Stars battled to a nil all stalemate.
Play will continue with a double header card on Thursday evening at the Plaisance ground. Victoria Kings oppose Golden Stars in the opener at 18:00hrs with main play between BV and Ann’s Grove.
