Almost two weeks after being hospitalized, a 40-year-old man who was shot in the back by a security guard succumbed to his injuries.
Paul Alexander died while receiving treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital some time on Saturday.
On September 12 last, Alexander, who is said to be a deportee, was shot after he reportedly jumped over the fence surrounding Fulton Court in Queenstown. The security guard on duty shot the man, and was taken into police custody but was subsequently released.
Meanwhile, it is not clear what will be the outcome of the matter, since initial reports had stated that the man was an intruder at the Fulton Court at the time he was shot. Investigations are ongoing.
