Fifty thousand dollars will be at stake when the Eccles Sports Club and the Nexus International XI meet in the final of the Carifesta 20/20 cricket tournament this Sunday at the Splashmin’s Fun Park, Linden Soesdyke Highway. The runner-up will cart off $25,000 and a trophy while there will also be a prize for the man-of-the-match.
The teams will be drawn from Eccles Sports Club: Michael Persaud (Captain), Neville Persaud, Avinash Persaud, Mahendra Ramkellewan, Manichand Roy, Bobby Singh, Tony Singh, Sanjay Singh, Vicky Persaud, Mukesh Chandra, Ashim Basir and Krishna Singh.
Nexus International XI: Ryan Cardesten (Captain), Rickey Chowtie, Kapil Dev, Yogindra Sawh, Manoj Kumar(India) Tekeram Persaud, Sadiek Mohammed, Afzal Haneef, Kevin Cuffy, Tony Boy, Bobby Chand, Dani Thomas, Leonard Leung and Kenneth (team manager).
