After being forced to cancel last weekend’s matches at short notice to accommodate a number of players travel to Antigua and Barbuda for an International Friendly, the Cellink Plus Premier League is set to continue this evening at the Tucville ground with two matches.
Fresh off their major upset of Sunburst Camptown two weeks ago, Pele will face off against Fruta Conquerors in tonight’s main event which has all the makings for an explosive dual.
Both teams are on 12 points each which makes the battle even more interesting with the league winding down.
While Pele seems to be on the up after going through a dark patch, Conquerors, who have also been struggling, will have to be at their best in order to contain and even turn back Pele.
The opening salvo brings together GFC, the surprise package of the league against another struggling side, Santos from 18:00hrs.
Patrons are in for a good evening of football action at the Tucville ground which has been taking on a new look with GT&T investing in the development of the facility for the comfort of the players, officials and patrons.
The top three teams will be in action on Sunday at the same venue, this match up also promises to be action packed.
The big clash of the night will see leaders, the Guyana Defence Force taking on defending champions Alpha ‘The Hammer’ United in a crucial game.
Sunburst Camptown will open against bottom of the table Uprising and will be going all out for full points to bring back their title seeking hopes on track.
