man holds up lab employees and customer
Police in the city continue the hunt for a gunman who relieved three employees of the Multi-Tec Laboratory of their personal belongings after robbing the establishment of an undisclosed amount of cash, last Thursday.
According to information reaching this newspaper, the man entered the business place, located at Alexander Village, where he met two employees — Sandy Bahadur, a technician, and Tricia Narine, a supervisor — at the counter.
He enquired from them about a vaccine, which they told him was not readily available.
The man then whipped out a gun from his pants waist and ordered the two staff members to hand over money.
The terrified women handed the gunman a bunch of keys, which he used to open a drawer, from which he took an undisclosed amount of cash, before relieving them of their personal belongings.
While he was leaving, he stumbled into another victim, Nikita Hussein, who was entering the premises.
She, too, was held at gunpoint and relieved of some of her valuables.
The gunman then calmly walked out of the establishment and made good his escape.
The police were informed, but no one has been arrested so far.
