With help from corporate Guyana, the Taboo Organisation donated $1 million worth of school supplies to children in Region Four before the commencement of the new school term.
According to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the organisation, Anthony Snow, the initiative jump started three major projects that the group will seek to undertake in the coming months.
Apart from the ‘school supplies’ programme, the organisation will embark on an activity that aims at feeding the entire nation, and on a buildings project to facilitate a state–of–the–art farm to produce cheaper food.
Snow said that he was grateful for the contributions from Gizmos and Gadgets, John Lewis Styles, Central Electronics, Footsteps, Silvies, Shamdas Kirpalani, Pitt Stop, Gourmet Deli and Proactive Centre.
